Suppose you get lucky and somehow end up getting a hefty payday, the first place you’ll end up cashing out in would probably be Dubai.

The small city located in the coastal regions of United Arab Emirates is a global hub of luxury, modern architecture and lively nightlife. If you’re rich and famous, or both, this is your ultimate destination.

However, the world has a very stereotypical view of the skyscraper-dominated-city. If you plan your trip to Dubai with that in mind, then you might as well go down to the States because that is definitely not happening in Dubai. Dubai has strict laws against alcohol. Sure you may find alcohol in some restaurants but it isn’t very common, oh and if you’re planning on drinking at home, you need a license for that too.

While it may be true that most millionaires and billionaires have made Dubai a playground for their cash and luxurious lifestyles, the same cannot be said about the 3 million people that reside there. Poverty exists everywhere and it hasn’t spared Dubai either.
