Napoleon Hill is the award-winning author of a book that explains what it takes to be successful; Think And Grow Rich. The book is a collection of all the traits that most millionaires share with each other and has sold 70 Million copies.

Hill put twenty years of his life, only to closely study the most successful people in the world. The result became the favorite book of every other person that had big dreams but just not the right guidance. With a book like Think and Grow Rich, so many personalities made it beyond their goals.

Penguin Random House is now due to publish a compilation of Hill’s most famous lectures in a new book; Your Right to Be Rich. Here are 19 of his most inspiring quotes on becoming successful:

1. “The starting point of all achievement is desire. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desire brings weak results, just as a small fire makes a small amount of heat.”
2. “If you want the mind to pick up an idea and to form a habit so that the mind will automatically act upon that idea, you’ve got to tell the mind what you want, over and over and over again.”
3. “Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.”

4. “Set your mind on a definite goal and observe how quickly the world stands aside to let you pass.”
5. “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
6. “When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.”

7. “I don’t know of any one quality or trait that can get a person an opportunity quicker than to go out of his way or her way to do somebody a favor, or do something useful.”
8. “Do not wait: the time will never be ‘just right’. Start where you stand, and work whatever tools you may have at your command and better tools will be found as you go along.”
9. “The way of success is the way of continuous pursuit of knowledge.”

I lost twice as much as they did, but I didn’t jump off any building, I didn’t shoot myself, I didn’t poison myself… My mental attitude toward it was to start immediately looking for that seed of improvement.”
12. “A quitter never wins and a winner never quits.”
13. “Set aside a definite amount for investment, even if it’s only as small as a dollar a week or even 50 cents a week. It’s not the amount that’s important, it’s the habit of being resourceful and frugal.”
