We are an unfinished art of work. We have to work on ourselves till our last breath to thrive in our environment. All billionaires in the Forbes’ list were those who in-spite of their ages and circumstances failed to give in. They work continuously towards their betterment.
Nowadays, there are many psychologists who are preaching the idea of mindfulness. While there are some who are heralding about a fairly new concept, “grit.” Grit is perverseness in accomplishing an objective despite obstacles over an extended period. The real mastery lies in the balance of both.
Following are the skills which are, albeit hard to learn, but will pay off in the future, for sure. These skills require grit and mindfulness all at once.
BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF
Yes, we should be honest with others too but the first and foremost thing is to stay true with your own self. You can’t entertain others when you are draining inside, out of guilt. Being true to yourself demands you to, accepts your mistakes and learn from them.
MASTERING YOUR MIND
It is necessary to take good care of our mind which directs all our thoughts. Our thoughts can easily pollute our perception. To accomplish success in our lives, we have to master our thoughts and direct them towards the goal. There are two ways to control our thoughts,
- By replacing them
- Or by eliminating them altogether.
