The Internet has become a necessity for almost everyone. If you are social media freak, an hour without the internet will make you feel as if there is nothing left for you to do. If your job requires you to stay online most of the time, no internet means no job. The internet has evolved over a few decades and grown faster and more reliable.
WiFi converts the internet into wireless signals which gives us mobility while using it. WiF, on the other hand, is responsible for the sudden change in the internet speed. There are some external which disturb the WiFi and result in a slow speed internet. Those factors might not cause the internet to shut down completely, but they will drop the signals down.
Let us take a look at the factors effecting the WIFI and causing the internet speed to slow down.
Walls, Floors and Distance
It is a known fact that the closer you are to the router, stronger internet signals you catch. Despite the modern technology which allows the router to work efficiently under harsh conditions, floors, walls and ceilings tend to weaken the internet signals. Furthermore, plastered walls which contain network of corrugated wires in them, cause signals to drop really low.
Microwave, bay monitors, fridges and freezers are some of the appliances which emit wireless signals. These signals tend to interfere with the signals of the router. This causes the router to drop the signals and make internet work really slow.
Additional Wireless Electronics
In addition to the wired electronics, some wireless electronics can be a cause of dropped internet signals. Furthermore, baby monitors use the same 2.4 GHz frequency used by the router, therefore resulting in weak internet signals. Bluetooth devices can also cause problems for the router.
Items which we use in our daily lives can also be a contributing factor. Things such as ceramic products, fairy lights, mirrors and electronic blankets can easily disturb the signals emitting from the router.
Basically, all you need to do is to do these simple tasks. Keep the distance between the router and yourself minimum. Place the router in such a place where the obstacles between you and the router are reduced. Such as, keep the router on the same floor of the building as you are. Finally, try to reduce the number of electronic and wireless devices. These actions will help your router to emit signals properly without any hindrance.
